Geee Posted January 24, 2018 Share Posted January 24, 2018 The Hill Prominent Wisconsin Republicans are divided in the state’s GOP Senate primary, with two candidates scrapping over conservative bona fides in the fight to take on Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.). Marine Corps veteran Kevin Nicholson and state Sen. Leah Vukmir are both battling for the right to take on Baldwin. The eventual GOP candidate could be buoyed by 2016 Republican victories in the state. Vukmir won a highly coveted endorsement Monday from Reince Priebus, the former Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman and White House chief of staff who cut his political teeth in Wisconsin.
