Geee Posted July 9, 2010 Share Posted July 9, 2010 UK Telegraph:USAMan 'held mother hostage for not ironing clothes'A 29-year-old man armed with a gun allegedly held his mother hostage for failing to iron his clothes.Published: 8:21AM BST 09 Jul 2010Police allege that Tyrrell, who lives with his parents wanted his mother to do some ironing because it was 'woman's work' Robert Tyrrell Jr has been charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment.When she refused, authorities allege he pulled out a gun, and took his 51-year-old mother's keys and cellphones and refused to let her leave for at least six hours.She eventually escaped unharmed and went to a police station. Authorities arrested Tyrrell on June 30 out without incident.Sgt Marc Griffith, of Carroll County Sheriff's Office said Tyrell was being remanded in custody.He is expected to appear in court later this month.
