LOUISIANA forges ahead towards legal showdown to curb Biden's invasion of illegal immigrants

An immigration bill that would allow local police to arrest illegal immigrants is heading to the desk of Louisiana’s governor, bringing a potential legal showdown with the Biden administration another step closer.

Senate Bill 388, authored by GOP state Sen. Valarie Hodges, was given final approval by the state’s upper chamber on Tuesday after a series of amendments. It now heads to the desk of Gov. Jeff Landry’s, who is expected to sign the bill.

The bill makes it a crime for an illegal immigrant to enter or re-enter the state after having been deported. Violating the law is punishable by imprisonment of up to a year and a fine of up to $4,000.:snip:

Soros-Backed DA’s Office Gave Free Consultations to Illegal Aliens Charged With Violent Crimes

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s office provided free consultations and legal assistance to illegal aliens charged with violent felonies in 2023, documents reveal.

'It’s Insane': Four DUIs and a death later, illegal immigrant remains in the country

On May 11, an illegal immigrant walked out of Stateville prison into a work release program, and the sister of the man whose life he ended while driving at more than three times the legal limit is left wondering yet again why Vicente Torres-Vasquez, a Mexican national, is still in this country.

“It’s insane,” Robi Vollkommer told the Lake County Gazette. “I asked them when he was sentenced if he would be deported when he was released from prison, and they told me it depends on who’s in office at the time.”:snip:

ICE officers given new instructions appearing to make it easier for migrants to claim asylum: sources

On the same day the Biden administration announced new restrictions on how many migrants will be allowed over the border, a memo was sent to border enforcers mandating new measures to make it as easy as possible to claim asylum.

Instructions from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting director Patrick J. Lechleitner to his team includes the installation of signs seemingly instructing migrants what to say to qualify for asylum.

The email also points to “trembling, shaking” or even staying completely silent as behavior, which can back up the “credible fear” of being returned to a home country migrants need to display to claim asylum.

Lechleitner’s email, obtained by The Post, states: “ICE has long recognized that a fear or intention to apply for asylum or related protection can be manifested in many different ways.:snip:

Congressional report finds half of all new jobs are going to immigrants

"Reports show that upwards of half the job gains under Biden have come from illegal immigrants, which belies a far weaker economy than Democrats want you to believe," committee chairman Jodey Arrington said in a statement. "Biden's illegal immigrant crisis has conveniently served as a 'two-for' - shoring up his vote tally and padding his dismal unemployment numbers."

'Enough is enough' Queens residents rally to shut down NYC migrant shelter where cop-shooting suspect lived

Dozens of Queens residents on Sunday called for the city to shut down an East Elmhurst migrant shelter where a Venezuelan national accused of shooting two NYPD cops was shacking up.

About 60 residents and officials rallied outside the 90th Street building, a converted Courtyard Marriott hotel now housing asylum seekers — and the former home of accused cop shooter Bernardo Castro Mata, a 19-year-old trouble-making migrant charged with the attempted murder of two of New York’s Finest.

“Our community has been over-saturated with homeless shelters for far too long. This has been a total failure at all levels of government,” said former city councilman and state lawmaker Hiram Monserrate. “The recent shooting of our police officers is a flashpoint, time for action.

“You see it every day in our community, and we see how our quality of life has gone downhill,” Montserrate said. “Now we’re getting complaints about RVs and prostitution right here on Ditmars Boulevard. Drug sales right here on Ditmars Boulevard. Consumption of alcohol right here in our community.”:snip:

Ice Chief Makes Shocking Admission

Acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner admitted that the Department of Homeland Security often has no information on the identities of the illegal aliens released into the U.S.

He said that it is nearly impossible for agents to keep track of every single illegal immigrant who crosses the southern border, despite mounting concerns that terrorists are flooding the country.

Lechleitner was specifically questioned about the eight ISIS-associated undocumented aliens who were apprehended at the southern border. He said that it is unfeasible for ICE agents to properly vet the millions of immigrants illegally, even if they have undergone background checks.

Is Joe Biden Serious About This Outrageous Immigration Pitch?

"The Biden administration is making plans to announce one of the largest immigration relief programs in recent history, developing a policy that would offer legal status to hundreds of thousands of immigrants living in the country without proper documents, four people familiar with the plans told CBS News.

A program being developed by White House officials would offer work permits and deportation protections to unauthorized immigrants married to U.S. citizens, as long as they have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years, the sources said, requesting anonymity to talk about internal government plans.

The proposal, known as "Parole in Place," would also open up a pathway to permanent legal status and U.S. citizenship for some beneficiaries by removing an obstacle in U.S. law that prevents those who entered the U.S. illegally from obtaining green cards without leaving the country.

Another plan being prepared by the Biden administration would streamline the process for so-called DREAMers and other undocumented immigrants to request waivers that would make it easier for them to obtain temporary visas, such as H-1B visas for high-skilled workers, the sources said.

The measures, the sources added, could be announced as early as Tuesday, but a plan has not been finalized by the administration. White House officials are preparing to host an event Tuesday to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which shields roughly 530,000 undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children from deportation. Dem-Run Sanctuary City Quietly Sending Illegal Immigrants To Red State

The self-described sanctuary city of Denver, Colorado is quietly paying for illegal immigrants to travel to Utah, according to Republican Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox.

Without the approval or advance knowledge of local officials, Denver has been paying for migrants to relocate to other places, including Utah, where approximately 2,000 have been sent, 2KUTV News reported Thursday. Cox said Friday the practice is “unacceptable” and a result of the Biden administration’s immigration policies.

Denver has been overwhelmed by migrants in recent months and has been forced to make budget cuts due to the costs of accommodating the new arrivals.:snip:
