May 14, 2024 Criminal charges in Texas border county jump by 5,000% since amid Biden took office

While the crisis at the southern border has impacted the entire nation, the areas nearest to Mexico have been hit hardest. Among them is Kinney County, Texas, which has seen criminal prosecutions jump by 5,000 percent in the years since Joe Biden took office.

The unprecedented spike has diverted resources from the community's essential services, and made life harder for residents.:snip:

'Burglary Tourism' Now a Thing Thanks to Biden's Open Border

America as a tourist destination has plenty of places to choose from, whether it is the hustle and bustle of New York City, the honkytonks and bars of Nashville (which I just visited over the weekend), Disney World here in Florida, or the Rockies out West.

But apparently, if you are a Chilean crime outfit, you head to Michigan to do Mission: Impossible-esque burglaries just because you can, thanks to the open border policies of President Biden's handlers.

Yes, really.

Fox News spoke with Oakland County, Mich., Sheriff Michael Bouchard about how sophisticated these groups are. They use an electronic jammer to get past security, extensively casing targets, and then steal high-end items from safes.

"They're very focused on high-end jewelry, like watches, cash, high-end purses… things that are highly valuable and disposable. And out they go, and they move on. They usually hit a number of homes in our area, and then they move on to another part of the country, and then another crew will come in. And it's been a cycle," Bouchard was quoted by Fox.:snip:

Lack of operational control at northern border poses national security threats

Greatest number of terrorist watch list individuals being apprehended at northern border

(The Center Square) – The northern border largely has been unmanned and understaffed for decades as federal reports issue conflicting conclusions about how much, or how little, operational control exists.

Some officials have suggested the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has just 1% operational control over the northern border after a 2019 General Accounting Office audit of U.S. Customs and Border northern border operations. But a December 2022 DHS report claimed, “The Border Patrol is better staffed today than at any time in its 87-year history,” noting no surveillance of extensive parts of the northern border existed prior to 9/11.:snip:

Nearly 250,000 illegal border crossers apprehended in April

The flow of illegal border crossers remained steady in April with 247,837 illegally entering nationwide, slightly more than those who illegally entered in March, according to newly released U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.

Nearly 2 million have illegally entered the country this fiscal year, totaling 1.98 million since October 2023 when the fiscal year began.

The majority who illegally entered last month, as in all months, were single adults. Fiscal year through April, more than 1.2 million single adults illegally entered the U.S. The official data excludes gotaways, those who were reported to illegally enter and evaded capture.:snip:

Horrifying Discovery: Mobile ‘Rape Dungeon’ Uncovered with Cage, Condoms, and Children’s Toys – Suspected Serial Rapist Illegal Immigrant Arrested

An illegal immigrant from Mexico has been ensnared by the long arm of justice after being caught red-handed in what authorities have described as a mobile ‘rape dungeon.’

Eduardo Sarabia, an illegal migrant from Mexico, has been arrested and accused of operating a mobile ‘rape dungeon’ within a modified 2015 Ford Transit van. This horrifying case unfolded near the Angeles National Forest in California, where Sarabia was apprehended by police during an alleged sexual assault on a 26-year-old woman.

Authorities charged Sarabia with sexual assault following the incidents, which occurred between May 12 and 13. Currently, he is being held without bail. The chilling details emerged when police caught him in the act off Highway 39, leading to his immediate arrest.

Inside the van, law enforcement officers found a harrowing scene: condoms, ropes, bungees, children’s toys, multiple cell phones, hard drives, and a worn, stained mattress, painting a stark picture of premeditation and malice. A metal partition, locked from the outside, transformed the back of the vehicle into a cage, FOX 13 reported.:snip:

Border officials to encounter 10 million migrants under Biden by September: Green

A senior House Republican expects the number of migrants encountered by federal border authorities under the Biden administration to reach 10 million by the end of this summer, a number that has never been seen in even two-term presidential administrations.

Approximately a quarter of a million migrants were encountered at the nation’s borders in April, bringing the total since Feb. 1, 2021, several days after President Joe Biden took office, to 9.57 million.

At the current rate, the Biden administration will hit the never-before-seen figure of 10 million people encountered in a single term of a president in the coming months, according to House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-TN).

“It is unbelievable that we are on track to hit 10 million encounters nationwide before this fiscal year is even over — and that doesn’t count the roughly 2 million or more known got-aways on this administration’s watch,” Green wrote in a statement to the Washington Examiner. :snip:

Why Some U.S. Border Agents Are Contemplating Suicide

‘We see things people should never see, like rotting human remains, abuse of every kind. Do you know what that does to you over time?’

Brian, a U.S. Border Patrol agent who works along the south Texas border, is haunted by something that happened a few years ago. A man—a Mexican cartel member, he believes—emerged from the banks of the Rio Grande carrying two toddlers. The children, a boy and a girl, were wearing nothing but diapers. The man darted across the border, dropped the children fifty feet away, and then raced back into the river to Mexico.

“I picked up these toddlers and looked fifty yards south,” said Brian, a ten–year veteran of the agency, who, like all agents we spoke to for this story, insisted on using a pseudonym. That’s when he saw six adult migrants running across the border as fast as they could. The children, he realized, had been a decoy. “They use these kids to distract us so they can run their illegals up in other places,” he said. As he helped the children to safety, he was outraged. “When I couldn’t pursue those men, I felt like I was letting the American people down.”

Another veteran agent said he’s witnessed the same problem on his watch—and much worse. “We regularly see things that people should never see, like rotting human remains, abuse of every kind, babies and kids dying or dead,” he told The Free Press:snip:

Jordanian National Who Attempted To Break Into Quantico Entered US Illegally

One of the two Jordanian nationals who allegedly attempted to break into a Marine base in Virginia entered the United States unlawfully, according to a Fox News report.

One of the Jordanian nationals who tried to break into the Quantico Marine base earlier this month entered the U.S. illegally through the San Diego sector in April and the other is a student visa overstay, according to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sources that spoke with Fox News. The revelations come days after many public officials, including Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, have demanded federal authorities provide more details on these two individuals.

The two Jordanians were placed into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody on May 3 after being apprehended by the Marine Corps for allegedly attempting to break into the Virginia base.:snip:

Massachusetts Paying Up to $31 Per Meal to Feed Illegal Immigrants

Most hardworking Americans can’t afford to spend $21 to $31 on dinner every day. If they did, they’d likely expect to get steak or lobster for their money.

Yet that’s exactly how much the state of Massachusetts is spending to feed homeless migrants, according to WBZ-TV CBS Boston. The state isn’t even getting its money’s worth: The meals include spaghetti and hot dogs or rice with a single chicken drumstick.

The $21 meals come from the Fairfield Inn Boston Dedham, where the state is paying $180 a day to house homeless families and migrants—even though advertisements show hotel rooms start at $129.:snip:

Venezuelan gang members arrested thousands of miles from border - Deportations foiled by fed mishaps, local sanctuary policies

Venezuelan Tren de Aragua prison gang members are being arrested thousands of miles from the border after having illegally entered the U.S. in Texas.

The Venezuelan prison gang is well-known for orchestrating murders, bribery schemes and money laundering, drug and arms trafficking, and kidnappings for ransom money. In March, U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio and Maria Elvira Salazar, both Florida Republicans, called on the president to officially designate Tren de Aragua as a Transnational Criminal Organization.

“Tren de Aragua is an invading criminal army from a prison in Venezuela that has spread their brutality and chaos to U.S. cities and small towns,” they said. “If left unchecked, they will unleash an unprecedented reign of terror, mirroring the devastation it has already inflicted in communities throughout Central and South America, most prominently in Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. The breadth of Tren de Aragua’s operations encompasses murder, drug and human trafficking, sex crimes, extortion, and kidnapping, among other brutalities.”:snip:

‘Unacceptable': Illegal immigrant wanted for murder has ‘extensive’ criminal past

An illegal immigrant wanted for the murder of a woman in West Virginia has an "extensive" criminal history in his home country of El Salvador.

"We really need to change our immigration system in this country. This is unacceptable," Berkeley County Sheriff Rob Blair told reporters at a press conference earlier this month.

David Antonio Calderon, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, is now charged with murder after authorities responded to a fire in a field on May 6 in Martinsburg, where a burnt body was located. Calderon is currently in custody in Virginia and awaiting extradition to West Virginia. :snip:
