Valin
Fox News Veterans Day, Nov. 11, is a time to share appreciation with those who have served our nation — here are ideas for families Britt Riner Nov. 10 2022 Veterans Day is a day set aside to honor and celebrate military veterans — anyone who has served in the United States' Armed Forces. It is a federal holiday in the U.S. that deserves more attention than it gets. We celebrate it annually on Nov. 11 because on the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month of 1918, World War I hostilities ceased between the Allied Powers and Germany. Originally known as Armistice Day, Nov. 11 was meant to celebrate world peace and the end of the first World War. Valin
Nov 11, 2022 It always seems ironic to tell a story of war that occurred on November 11. November 11 was to have represented the end of the war to end all wars. But, of course, war did not end. On November 11, 1943, Allied forces were fighting a desperate, if nearly forgotten, battle with German troops in the mountains of Italy.
Valin
Nov 11, 2022 It's Veterans Day. We pause for a moment to thank all who have served, in wartime and in peace, on land, sea, and air. Your actions are never far from our thoughts. Your commitment is appreciated. We present views from air shows past in which American warbirds were flown in honor of veterans' service and sacrifice. These scenes are from EA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, Warhawk Air Museum Warbird Roundup 2019, and Planes of Fame Air Museum Chino Air Show 2019. We appreciate the efforts of these organizations and the many warbird owners who support them.
